Azmatic: Reusable Inhaler
Having carried around an inhaler for many of my years…often inconveniently…I’ve come away with a few qualms in the inhaler itself.
It’s not reusable
it stabs you through your pocket during activity (true asthmatics know)
it is generic from brand to brand… since my childhood.
So I had a crack at creating a sleek functional prototype that I could take out and about with me. I found the most stripped back and minimal execution to be my favorite. Though a kid might like a more stylized execution, something they’d be proud to hang from their backpack. These more playful executions could help to remove the stigma attached with asthma suffers as the item becomes less a medical dispenser and more an item that a young and impressionable individual can identity through. And, not that I want to go there, but — there are larger implications/applications for branded/marketing materials….ie latest Marvel film character inhaler…
